4 moments where you haven't hired a professional photographer, but should!

In today’s world, we all know that having a professional photographer document your wedding day is a MUST, but what about other important moments in your life?

I mean sure, you can have friends and family document other big events, but wouldn’t you rather them enjoy the moment with you!?

Here’s a list of events where I believe hiring a professional photographer is a MUST!

The Proposal  -

This is definitely a time when you should hire a pro!  I mean you/your partner go great lengths to develop the PERFECT proposal and for what? To have it documented by a family member that may or may not get a clear, crisp image? Or worse, no picture at all!? You will be asked for the rest of your life, “how did they/you propose?” – so wouldn’t you want a picture to be able to contribute to your perfect tale and relish in that moment forever? I know I would!

Engagement Parties -

Engagement parties are definitely becoming more trendy - and most of the time, inspired by the wonderful world of pinterest! Not only is this a perfect time to capture the parties' beautiful décor, but there is something refreshing about capturing the true/pure happiness shining through the newly engaged couple. It’s simple really: hire a pro, celebrate with your family and friends, and enjoy the gorgeous images for the rest of your life!  

Showers -

Whether it’s a baby shower or bridal shower, hiring a pro is the way to go! Sure your friends can snap away with their phones and cameras, but you want them to enjoy the day with you right!? I suggest hiring a pro and having an unplugged shower to truly enjoy the moment with your friends and family. PLUS, what better way to thank your friends for planning a beautiful pinterest –inspired shower than by showcasing their work! Professional photographers often submit these showers to baby blogs to get published - BAM now you and your friends are FAMOUS (kind of)!  Check out this mustache bash that I photographed, designed by the amazing women of fabulously frantic!

Your Babies Birth –

While birth photography is on the up and up, there are still several people that would NEVER consider photographing their little one’s birth, but why?  The common argument is that the moment is too personal to be documented, but that is exactly why you should hire a pro to capture this magical event.  While mama might not feel glamorous at the moment, I can tell you from experience that there is nothing more beautiful than a mama meeting her baby for the first time.  Plus it’s not like the photographer is all up in mama’s goodies (sorry for lack of better jargon), he/she is focused on capturing the emotion and facial expressions of everyone involved. This is definitely a time to capture, you won’t regret it, I promise!
