Amylia Newborn Portraits

Friday, August 22, 2014
Amylia was a ROCKSTAR during her newborn session - a sleepy little angel! She is also the newest member of my Baby's First Year Family! I had the honor of being able to document her journey into this world and now I get to capture and preserve her milestones throughout her first year :)

If you know anyone interested in newborn, milestone or birth photography, please send them my way! My clients have such a good time - we're a blast :)

Check out her journey into this world here!

Preserve those memories!

Wednesday, August 20, 2014

After hiring a professional photographer, the next best decision you can make is to order a professional album from them as well. Preserve those memories people!!! Now why go through your photographer and not a company like shutterfly? QUALITY! I know what you're thinking "Haley is only saying this so that we buy albums through her"… I mean yeah - I would love it if my clients ordered albums through my company, but that is not why I push professionally printed albums. I was one of those people that used companies like shutterfly, and after switching to ordering albums from my printing guru's - I will never look back.

Don't get me wrong, my previous albums were fine, but you get what you pay for… Flimsy paper that bends and crinkles and decent quality printing.

Once I switched to the dark side (haha get it, dark rooms, printing.. OK I'll stop), I have never been more pleased! With the variety of paper choices (from felt, fuji pearl paper and more!) and thickness, I was amazed! Not to mention the quality of the images - they look exactly how I prepared them to look! If you want to see what I mean - check out the difference in quality between professional prints and discount prints

Are you a previous client of mine and now considering an album? I am offering 20% off my layflat albums to my previous clients. As I mentioned before… Preserve those memories!

Alberta Bridals - Utah Natural History Museum

Monday, August 18, 2014
Throughout the time I have spent with Alberta, our theme has always been more modern - so for her bridals, I thought that the Utah Natural History Museum was PERFECT! The colors and architecture is just FAB and made for some totally rad images! What do you think?

Welcome Baby Jones!

Last month I had the honor of photographing the birth of darling little baby Jones. There is something so special about birth photography and watching a new little baby come into this world, I just LOVE it! I want to thank the Jones family for sharing your special moment with me.

For those of you curious about birth photography, please feel free to reach out to me. All of my birth story packages include me being on call for 2 weeks and documenting up until one hour after your precious angel is born. As the years pass, it is hard to remember every little detail of your little ones birth, by documenting it, you can remember forever!

Here are some snip-its from sweet little baby Jones' entry into this beautiful world!

Emilee Senior Portraits - Utah Senior Portraits

Thursday, August 14, 2014

Emilee was such a natural in front of the camera! Did you know that my senior portraits include unlimited outfit changes? Well, you do now! Emilee wanted both studio and outdoor locations, so we did just that, and I must say that both sets turned out FAB! Take a look at these images and if you're totally in love by the end, hit me up! I'd love to work with you :)

My #DistractionFree Day

Tuesday, August 12, 2014
I don't typically write personal posts on my business blog, however, today was a reflection day for me - and I thought I would share my thoughts with my fans. Monday was a very sad day in that we lost two individuals that made/could have made huge impacts in this world. Mr. Robin Williams filled this world with happiness and smiles and he will never be forgotten. However, I hope that the young gentleman who was shot and killed in St. Louis is also never forgotten. At just eighteen years old, he still had so much of this world to see and experience. I pray for both Robin Williams' and this young teen's families and hope that they can find peace someday.
This isn't new for people to pass away, but it is unfortunate, and a constant reminder that time is short on this earth. While reading articles on both these stories, I began to reflect on my own life…

I am so thankful to my family and friends that I have met in this journey we call life - without each and every one of you, I would not be who I am today. Since I am writing this post on my business page, I must first and foremost thank my husband. Leaving my full-time salaried position to live this dream was scary as hell, but he believed in me and I am becoming more and more successful everyday.

However, I realized something today… With all the success in taking beautiful images of my clients and their families - I have failed to capture the beauty of my own family. So today, as I reflected on how grateful I am to be living the life I am living, I did something "crazy"… I turned off the computer! Instead, I played with my kids, enjoyed the messy faces, laughter and even snuggled with them during nap time :) Now mind you, I do this every day, but typically I am on autopilot. Not today. Today, I turned off all distractions and just had a blast with my kiddos!

Is the house messy? Yes.

Did any laundry or dishes get done? No.

Did I have a BLAST? ABSOLUTELY!!!

I encourage all of my fans to turn off all distractions for ONE DAY this week and enjoy what truly makes you happy. Life is short, so lets all live it to the fullest! This is how I spent my #distractionfree day, how will you? Share your distraction free day with me, I would love to see it!

Oh the simple things! Enjoy your favorite snack :)
Love those messy faces…

Dive into a book and let your imagination run wild!

Get excited for your loved ones to come home!

And of course… Welcome them with a HUGE hug! Nothing is as exciting as when daddy gets home :)
